TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. About Sehyog
Sehyog is a community-focused digital platform designed to help users discover and connect with temples and independent service providers offering religious, cultural, traditional and community-related services.
Sehyog acts as a facilitator and marketplace platform. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sehyog does not operate, manage, control or represent any temple or service provider listed on the platform.
These Terms govern your use of the Sehyog website, applications and related services (together, the “Platform”).
Sehyog is operated by:

2. Using Sehyog
By accessing, using or registering with Sehyog, you agree to these Terms.
You must provide accurate and current information when registering or submitting information to the Platform.
You must not use Sehyog:
- unlawfully or fraudulently;
- to impersonate another person or organisation;
- to submit information that you know is false or misleading;
- to interfere with the operation or security of the Platform; or
- to publish unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or otherwise prohibited content.
3. Temple Registration
Temples may submit information to create or claim a presence on Sehyog.
We may ask for information including:
- temple name;
- Charity Commission registration number, where applicable;
- address and location;
- contact information;
- opening and visiting information;
- facilities;
- photographs and videos;
- events and festivals;
- religious and community services; and
- other information relevant to the temple.
Where available, Sehyog may use information obtained from public sources, including the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
A successful Charity Commission lookup means only that information corresponding to the registration number has been located. It does not mean that Sehyog endorses, recommends or guarantees the temple or its activities or services.
Sehyog may request additional information where reasonably necessary to confirm that a person registering or managing a temple listing is authorised to do so.
4. Service Provider Registration
Independent service providers may register their interest in being listed on Sehyog.
Providers are responsible for ensuring that information they provide is accurate and up to date.
The list of professions have been carefully selected in Sehyog providing cultural and religious services. Providers must choose a Profession from the given list. If your profession does not exist, please contact support@sehyog.world.
Registration with Sehyog does not create an employment, partnership, joint venture, agency or representative relationship between Sehyog and the service provider.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, service providers operate independently from Sehyog.
5. Sehyog’s Role
Sehyog facilitates discovery and connection.
Information displayed on Sehyog is intended to help users find and learn about temples, events and independent service providers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
Sehyog is not the provider of any religious, ceremonial, cultural or other service displayed on the Platform.
Any service is provided by the relevant temple or independent service provider.
Sehyog does not represent that any particular ceremony, puja, ritual or other religious or spiritual service will achieve any particular spiritual, personal, financial, health, relationship or other outcome.
Users should make their own assessment before engaging a temple or service provider.
6. No Endorsement or Guarantee
The inclusion of a temple or service provider on Sehyog does not, by itself, constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee by Sehyog.
Where Sehyog displays information concerning registration, identity checks or other verification, we will aim to explain what has actually been checked.
For example, confirmation of a Charity Commission registration number should not be interpreted as Sehyog guaranteeing the quality, suitability, conduct or services of the relevant organisation.
This is particularly important given the “trusted/verified” language we’ve been removing from the site.
7. Information Provided by Temples and Providers
Temples and service providers are responsible for information they submit to Sehyog.
They must take reasonable steps to ensure that:
- information is accurate and not misleading;
- prices, where displayed in the future, are clear and accurate;
- photographs and other content may lawfully be used;
- required licences, qualifications, permissions or insurance are maintained where applicable; and
- descriptions do not make misleading or unsubstantiated claims.
Sehyog may remove, suspend or request changes to information that appears inaccurate, unlawful, misleading or inappropriate.
8. Religious and Spiritual Information
Sehyog respects the religious and cultural significance of services displayed on the Platform.
However, Sehyog does not guarantee or make representations about the religious, spiritual or personal effect of any ceremony, ritual, puja or service.
Information on Sehyog should not be interpreted as medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
9. Payments, Donations and Offerings
Sehyog currently does not charge users or temples for registration through the Platform.
Sehyog does not facilitate or process donations, charitable contributions or religious offerings.
Any donation or offering made independently to a temple is outside Sehyog and is a matter between the individual and the relevant organisation.
10. Community Posts and Content
Sehyog’s community features are intended for content relevant to our communities, including cultural, religious, traditional and community-related information, events and activities.
Users should not use community features for unrelated commercial advertising, promotions, spam or content that does not reasonably relate to the purpose of Sehyog. For example, general advertising for restaurants, takeaways, nightlife, clubs or unrelated products and services may be removed.
Sehyog may review, restrict or remove content that is irrelevant, misleading, inappropriate, unlawful or inconsistent with the purpose of the Platform.
Where these guidelines are breached, Sehyog may remove the relevant content, restrict a user’s ability to post, temporarily suspend their account or, in cases of repeated or serious breaches, permanently remove their account from the Platform.
Where appropriate, Sehyog may notify the user of the reason for the action taken and provide an opportunity to raise the matter with us.
Users remain responsible for the content they post and must ensure that they have the right to share it.
11. Future Features
Sehyog may introduce additional functionality in the future.
The availability of future functionality is not guaranteed merely because a proposed or upcoming feature has been described on the Platform.
Where additional terms, charges or contractual arrangements apply to a new feature, they will be communicated as appropriate before that feature is used.
12. Intellectual Property
The Sehyog name, branding, Platform design, software and Sehyog-created content are owned by or licensed to Sehyog.
Temples and service providers retain ownership of content they provide, subject to any third-party rights.
By submitting content to Sehyog, you grant Sehyog a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, display, format and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Platform and the relevant listing.
13. Availability of the Platform
We aim to keep Sehyog available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We may update, suspend or change parts of the Platform where reasonably necessary.
14. Limitation of Liability
Sehyog is a platform that helps users discover and connect with independent temples and service providers. Sehyog does not provide, manage or control the services offered by them and is not responsible for their acts, omissions or the quality or outcome of their services.
While we aim to keep information on Sehyog accurate and the Platform available, we cannot guarantee that all information provided by third parties will always be complete, accurate or up to date, or that the Platform will always be available without interruption.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
15. Removal and Suspension
Sehyog may suspend or remove a listing or account where reasonably necessary, including where:
- information appears materially inaccurate or misleading;
- we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity;
- these Terms have been materially breached;
- continued publication may infringe another person’s rights; or
- removal is reasonably necessary to protect users or the Platform.
Where appropriate, we may give the affected party an opportunity to provide further information.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Where changes materially affect registered users, temples or providers, we will take reasonable steps to communicate them.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory rights consumers may have under applicable law.
